Saiya-jin 3rd Grade, Super Saiya-jin 4th Grade, Super Saiya-jin 2
Personality: Mostly a clown at heart, Jason is one person who likes to
live out the fun in his life. He is very aversive around people when they're
extremely serious outside of a fight, including Piccolo and Vegeta when they are
not training with him. He is also Alex's best friend, both sharing a similar
outlook on fun, messing with people and acting young and immature. However,
despite this fun-loving side of Jason, a second, 'darker' side of him exists,
which when seen is very rarely and is an indicator of dire paths to come. This
personality came to life during and after the 9/11 attacks, and the attempt on
Dan's life, and it is responsible for both of his Super Saiya-jin
transformations, and is also one part of him being the first of the Super
Saiya-jin 2s to emerge from the younger Misfits, improving his control over the
power far quicker than anticipated even by Goku. In this darker side, Jason
rarely even shows his normal fun-loving nature, and has brutal intent in mind
for his enemy, and he has a personal hatred against Al-Qaeda[as many of the
Misfits so, although his seems more unique from Vernon and Alex's anger]. Also,
Jason feels despite his fun rhetoric, he needs to try to help the world as much
as he wants to insult it, and felt extremely angered at his helplessness to stop
the 9/11 attacks as they occurred.
Biography: The Beginning of an Era:
Most of Jason's past has not been told to us as of yet, and one of the few
things we know is a strange dislike, borderline-fear of clowns he has, and that
due to his ability to become a Super Saiya-jin, he has their blood within him.
The means of how he got to Earth, and how his tail no longer exists are still
unknown, however. He did not really meet most of the Misfits until he arrived at
CSHS in the beginning of the 2000-2001 school year and met Alex. The two however
have been basically the best of friends since then. Both found a common ground
with their youthful and immature attitudes towards the world, and are a type of
'dynamic duo' that love to harass the less intelligent and retarded students at
CSHS, although their attacks are only verbal, and are of little consequence in
the long run. He also seems to have a bitter outlook of Jackson McCarakins, who
has associated Jason as a 'freak lover', since Jackson has a distaste for Alex
due to his Cerebral Palsy in his earlier life, and labels all of his friends the
same way.
In addition to meeting Alex, Jason also met Vernon, Devin, Clint, Dusty and
Dan in 2000-2001, and then later near the end of the year, he met Nina when she
arrived mysteriously at CSHS one day in April 2001. Jason is actually a little
awed at Nina's appearance, not only due to her abnormally tall height, but the
two dark-purple wings emerging from her back. Among other things Jason seems to
know is of a semi-relation of old between Dusty and one of his old friends, one
of which he has sworn to keep secret from others for his own sake.
When the next school year began, Clint had won the Toonami contest to Tokyo,
Japan. Although Jason was not quite as interested in anime as Alex and Clint, he
still wanted to go, having a want to travel, and ended up going along for the
ride when the series begins...
The Misfits:
Prologue and Saga 1:
Jason appears in the Prolouge[although he's not mentioned by name]. He speaks
one line to Alex and really doesn't do anything else in that part. In Part 1, he
goes with Alex, Clint, Vernon and Devin to Shonen Jump HQ to meet Akira
Toriyama, the creator of Dr. Slump and Dragonball. During their conversation,
Jason asks a few questions, including what Toriyama would've done with various
roles if GT had never happened. After the meeting is over, he has a few
personally made drawings from the artist, and a calling card from him.
After the meeting, he is with the group when they watch the movie about
anime's origins. He tries to remain interested in the movie, but he only seems
to show interest in Astro Boy, one of the old anime series of the past. In fact,
an argument between him and Alex about said series results in a shoving match
that causes Alex to topple over into the movie project and violently break it.
During the chaos that results, the area is subject to a 6.7 earthquake, while
the movie screen suddenly erupts with a blinding light. Trying to see, Jason
stumbles and hits his head on the back of the seats, passing out while the
screen erupts into a interdimensional portal which sucks his friends inside.
Jason wakes up later to find the rest of his friends are present, along with
10 others, including Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Radditz, Steve and Dwayne. After a
large amount of exposition, they all band up as a single group, and find a hotel
in Tokyo to stay at. Jason is paired with Radditz, who at first just wants to
rest after his hellish trip back to the land of the living, but Jason informs
him about the Sensu Beans, causing Radditz to go find Goku and Vegeta to get
one. After he returns, both fall asleep with little more conversation.
The next day, Jason heads back to Canton with the others, narrowing avoiding a
unknown disaster on the last plane home from Oyatsu due to sheer luck. After he
returns home to Canton, Jason heads back to his place, having not having anyone to bring
with him, and he is actually jealous of his friends for going through the
portals in Japan when he didn't...
Saga 2:
As Saga 2 starts, Jason is seen getting training in how to use his ki and how
to use Bukujutsu, or flight via ki. However Jason gets too excited by his new
powers and he flies off before he can receive training of ki sensory or ki
masking from Goku and Vegeta.
Jason is later seen with Goku and Piccolo, a third student of their training,
Alex and Vernon being the first and second. During the training that ensues,
Jason manages to fire off an extremely powerful Kamehameha for his level of
strength, much to their surprise.
Jason is next seen talking to Clint about a strange prank he has planned for
Alex, and consequently, Vernon and Devin as well. Jason has created a serum that
increases the pitch of someone's voice for an hour's time when consumed. This
trick works, and Alex, Devin and Vernon end up with chipmunk voices for 1 hour.
However their gloating ends abruptly when Paula finds their hiding spot and
gives them a frying pan to their heads as punishment. Paula leaves Jason's real
fate to Alex, Vernon and Vegeta, while she and Goku return Clint to his house.
Jason is subject to a long and intense training session beyond what he is used
to, but is given a sensu bean afterwards, so he can't use fatigue as an excuse
to skip out on his one-day return to CSHS the next day.
However, Jason's day back at CSHS turns out to be incontinently planned, as
the next day is the stage of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the
Pentagon, and then later on, a personal attempt on Dan's life. These events
shake Jason to the core, despite his usually happy-go-goofy personality, and
Jason soon reveals his darker side, a side that shows no joy or remorse in
battle and no mercy. After the situation is resolved, Jason manipulates his
anger to attain the transformation of Super Saiya-jin, to most of the others's
shock[sans #17, who knew of his Saiya-jin blood from their first meeting and
held the information back]. Jason also takes it almost too far, and transforms
to the "Super Saiya-jin 4th Grade", a level beyond the bulky form Mirai Trunks
used against Cell, but is then able to power down slowly to normal. Jason, Alex
and Vernon are then grouped as a merged training group along with Goku, Vegeta,
Piccolo, #17 and Mr. Buu.
Jason is still struggling to keep his Super Saiya-jin level without having to
draw off his anger, and witnesses a spar between Goku, Vegeta and Buu in the
process after finding a new training area. Jason is awestruck at their true
powers, and can only hope to one day be at their level of power. Later on during
the day, he, Alex and Vernon become witness to a stunt of #17 and Piccolo's,
using motorcycles to fly into the training stadium and blow right past them.
The next day, Jason is doing better at holding his Super Saiya-jin form
without anger, but to his dismay, his peak powerlevel is the weakest between
him, Alex and Vernon. Later on, at the abandoned stadium, the three of them have
been able to hold Super Saiya-jin well enough to fight seriously with it, and
are pitted against each other in an all-for-one battle, to which we are not sure
of who has won. Finally, later at the midnight hours of the night, Jason has
calmly managed to get control of 'Energy-Controlled Super Saiya-jin', and channeling
more anger over the events of 9/11, he manages to attain Super Saiya-jin 2
first.
Early the next morning Goku and Vegeta try to gauge the peak powerlevels of
Alex, Jason and Vernon, although Jason tries to avoid going Super Saiya-jin 2,
however since he cannot sense ki, he cannot tell his own powerlevel is not
staying stable, and Goku questions Jason into revealing the truth, much to Alex,
Vernon and even Vegeta's shock. After Alex and Vernon vow to reach it as well,
Jason explains the spirit of competition will not work for reaching the ascended
level. Their training group goes back to the stadium, where Alex and Vernon
later that day manage to also ascend to Super Saiya-jin 2. Shortly later, the
group meets with the other Misfits at McDonalds, where Radditz is also working
at for the time being, and go over the stories of their training sessions. After
the day closes, they head home for the night.
The next day however is full of chaos. Jason first awakens to find out that
Goku and Vegeta have gone off to train on their own for the day, while Piccolo
and #17's whereabouts are unknown. Jason decides to stay home and rest for the
day, until Vernon calls him about a situation occurring at Devin's vacant lot,
where his own group is training, a report about Dan apparently attacking other
Misfits and capturing them. He and Vernon meet up along the way and arrive at
the vacant lot, to find Devin barely conscious after a massive attack, and the
others knocked out. The culprit is actually a shapeshifter known as Oyatsu, who
has possessed Dan to turn him to his whims. Vernon and Jason try to fight
Oyatsu, but he unleashes the "Durty Durt Dur" curse, which forces both of them
to revert to base form, and unable to transform for 12 hours. In their weakened
state, Oyatsu, using Dan's body, now also transformed as a normal Super
Saiya-jin defeats them quickly, capturing them by shrinking them down to
ant-size and putting them in jars.
Jason and the others are later rescued by Nina, Teresa and a new arrival,
#18, who has also manages to disperse Oyatsu from Dan's body, freeing him. Jason
heads back home after some more exposition, realizing that with the curse still
affecting him, that training any extreme amount is out of the question.
Saga 3:
Jason is however later called back over to Alex's house, as are a large part
of the entire group. Goku has offered to teach as many willing members of the
group the Kaioken technique as possible. Jason is also finally taught how to use
Ki Sense and Ki Masking, two things he missed out on during the first sessions
in the past. It was vital to using the Kaioken ability, and Jason proves this by
being able to achieve a basic Kaioken before the day is finally over. Closing:
Jason's playful nature around others is sometimes overbearing and can grate on
the nerves of his friends, but he has shown his less playful and darker nature,
and has even managed to amaze Vegeta by being the first of the new generation to
transform to Super Saiya-jin 2, a vast improvement from his original struggles
to hold the basic Super Saiya-jin form without bulking up his muscles or drawing
off anger like a fountain. Jason has shown to have as much potential as Alex and
Vernon at this point, and it can only improve as time passes... |
